Following his highly regarded illustrated lecture in 2022, architect and scholar Jarrod Haberfield continues to share his ongoing research into why people collect.
The compulsion to collect appears to be an innately human thing. We are drawn to different types of collecting, and driven to continue, for varied and complex reasons; in the process, our collecting endeavours often become a cornerstone of our identity, both in public and private. This talk will allow Jarrod to share his deep understanding of the diverse motivations for collecting and introduce a selection of art collectors across time whose collecting has somehow changed the world.
The talk will be followed by refreshments in the apartment.
