Dr Nick Gordon will explore how the Biennale has changed substantially since 1895 and how in turn it has transformed Venice from a provincial town on the edge of modern Italy into a preeminent playground for modern and contemporary art.

In 2019, which seems a world away from the world we live in today, we had the privilege to travel to Asia on three brief art related trips. Over the coming months Charles will give a series of FREE talks on Hong Kong, Japan and Shanghai via Zoom on these 2019 art travels.

This upcoming talk on Hong Kong will take place at 7.30pm Tuesday 15 September and will include Art Basel HK, Art Central, The Asia Society, The Pedder Building, H Queens, White Cube, Tai Kwun Heritage and Arts Precinct, Tai Kwun Contemporary, and M+ Pavilion.
